Modernising a long-established industrial name
Macrisal is a Catalan manufacturer and installer of aluminium windows and architectural enclosure systems, established in 1986. The rebrand needed to modernise a long-standing industrial name without losing the reliability expected in a technical, construction-led market.
Working in collaboration with Rufus, I developed the visual identity around the initial M and a compact architectural mark: two open corners suggesting a window frame, paired with a direct wordmark. A high-contrast red, charcoal and white palette gives it visibility across both controlled brand materials and large construction environments.
The system was documented through logo rules, colour, typography, hierarchy and real applications, including construction hoardings. The result is a cleaner identity designed to move from technical communication to the built environment with the same confidence.
